Frequently Asked Questions

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also called photobiomodulation, is a form of light therapy that uses low-intensity laser and LED light to stimulate biological processes in the body.
The light is absorbed by cells, particularly in the mitochondria, and can help:

  • Improve microcirculation

  • Support cellular energy production

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Promote tissue repair and regeneration

Treatments are non-invasive, do not heat or burn tissue, and are applied externally over the area being treated.

Medical Quant devices are used as part of treatment programs for a variety of musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions, such as:

  • Back and neck pain

  • Joint pain and osteoarthritis (e.g., knees, hips, shoulders)

  • Sports and overuse injuries (tendons, ligaments, muscles)

  • Post-surgical pain and recovery

  • Certain nerve-related pain conditions, as part of a broader treatment plan

  • Veterinary conditions such as arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries and wound healing in animals

The suitability of laser therapy depends on the individual case.Ā

Our devices are non-invasive and drug-free, with an excellent safety profile when used as directed.
There are no known serious side effects reported in typical use, and treatments are generally well tolerated, including by older adults.
However, they are not a substitute for emergency care or medical diagnosis, and you should always consult your healthcare provider before changing any prescribed treatment.

Medical Quant designs and manufactures low-level laser therapy (photobiomodulation) devices for pain relief and rehabilitation.
Our devices are used in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and pain clinics, as well as in structured home-care programs.
The goal is simple: to give people a safe, easy-to-use tool that supports the body’s natural healing processes.

Yes. The home-use devices are designed to be simple and intuitive for regular people to operate.
Clear instructions and treatment guidelines are provided, and many users integrate the device into their daily routine, much like a thermometer or blood-pressure monitor.
For specific medical conditions, we still recommend consulting your doctor or therapist before starting a new treatment.

Medical Quant devices are based on decades of clinical experience in photobiomodulation and are supported by published clinical studies and real-world case series.
We work with leading medical centers to develop and refine treatment protocols.
On our website you can find selected case studies and references grouped by treatment area for easier review.

Yes. While Medical Quant is headquartered in Israel, most of our devices are used internationally.
We work with official distributors in more than 30 countries, and our systems are used in hospitals, clinics and home-care programs worldwide.
This global presence is an important part of our commitment to reliability, consistency and long-term support.
